Testimony Time:-It is a Good Friday and the Day is already good in itself. This is because some 2000 years ago, Jesus decided to die and make Himself an atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2) so that we can live and have a share in His Father's Kingdom in heaven.
While I wish you all another good morning and a happy Good Friday, let me quickly remind us about Christ desire upon us when He chose to die for us because "He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; and "by his wounds we have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24). The Book of 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 buttresses this fact, "For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing".
The question is if we encourage one another? Do we build up one another? Do we still crucify ourselves, either to pull him or her down as we call ourselves Christians? Do we you know that those who engage in such acts can be classified as being "asleep" even when they still live in this world? That by such act, they do not belong to the group described in Romans 14:8 which says "If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord". Because "for this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living" (Romans 14:9).
Although Hebrew 10:10 says that "by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. Very clearly,we are also enjoined in Hebrews 12:13 to "make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed".
Therefore Brethren, If all Good Fridays were to remind us about our relationship to God through Christ, acting also as a reminder of our goodness to each other, just how many do you think we will have on earth? The time is nigh, let us stop taking things for granted and be awakened for Christ. Let us be in Christ and by so doing have a constructive relationship with ourselves as suggested by (Philippians 4:6-9)" Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you". Do have a wonderful Easter celebration in His Presence through His Grace. Amen
Just checking in into His Presence...
