Checking into God's Presence... What can we call a church that suddenly chooses to become a supermarket? A place where offers are listed and listened to before those who are called Christians can worship their God! What are the offers? Titles e.g. Evangelist, Prophet or Prophetess and all other positions alike; just like those positions we vehemently fight for but with certain credentials in the secular world: e.g. manager, chairman etc. What then can we count as loss for the purpose salvation? Is it possible to abandon the mundane things of this world; such as self-righteousness, tales bearing, heresies, pride, hatred, arrogance, fornication, lies, and jealousy and so on: just for you to have Christ as gain? Now let us consider these assertions from Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:6-10. "Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;" Know ye therefore that what systematically kills the faith of self-made Christian revolves round the issues made out of self-righteousness. Undoubtedly, this attributes renounces the ability to fellowship with Christ and also share in the rewards of His sufferings. David in Psalm 58 verse 1 poses a question: "do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?" We beseech Thee oh Lord to let the works of our hands and the thoughts from our hearts speak righteousness. Forbid that our hearts work wickedly against Your precepts and the attributes of our neighbours. With the power in Your name; we ask that You do not allow Your Children to weigh the violence of their hands and indeed of their hearts upon the fellowship we enjoy in every assembly of Christ through Your powerful name. Amen Checking into God's Presence...
