Checking into God’s Presence... Nowadays, those who are called Children of God do have a very common assessment in the way they classify true worship in God’s Sanctuary. Generally, what is true in worship may have stemmed from the number of religious visits made by many to different sanctuary and the act of praying to God in their homes. The notion can also erupt from those who buys and gives what in the household of God. There are clear misconceptions about those who are simply overzealous in their Christian duties. Usually, this attitude acts more as a smokescreen; covering up what their true intentions are in relation to true worship. What is true worship therefore? I once listened to a preacher who quipped: Do you have a hard time letting go of your time to God? Do you always move closer to God in times of needs and or difficulties? What motivates every act in the presence of God? Does your attributes, including giving in the church entails the character of God? Generally, what is forgiveness to you? Do you cause hatred or generates one? Do you lie, cheat and allow anger to unseat and or undermine your spiritual essence? Listen to what Apostle Paul has to say in Hebrews 6:11-12-“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises”. Consequently, a true worship has to be measured in terms of how eternal your relationship is with God. How much you can pattern your decisions based on Christ principles and not by causing havoc, mischief and hatred under the guys of seeking perfection or a case of holier than thou regime in a world where Christ Himself was considered imperfect but chose to die for the sole purpose of our transgressions. Do remember; “the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner”-Proverbs 11:30-31. I therefore plead, that each one of us should declare and see his/her riches, fame and glory and or achievements based on God’s glory; not on knowledge, personal vendettas, wisdom, beauty, constant revival programs, financial statuses, ages, spiritual gifts and or number of religious visits to all churches including Jerusalem pilgrimage. The Bible is so clear on every attributes we seek to engage ourselves in as a child of God. Only those who are called men of God and indeed children of God always undermine the value of the instruction given to us by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Therefore know from today that irrespective of what you conceive, preach and perpetrate to bring down your neighbours, if it is not God’s will, you shall surely fail because “He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch”. Proverbs 11:28 Oh Lord our God, strengthen our faith and give us the empowerment to declare our riches purely on Your merit through Christ our Saviour.Amen Just Checking into His Presence.
