Checking into God's Presence...  Today, we cast our faith, vision, and expectations unto the Lord in honour of the Lenten Season, but what is your perception about the Season, and what do we hope to attain? “Is it such a fast that we have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Wilt thou call this a fast and an acceptable day to the Lord? Is not this the fast that I have chosen to lose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;" Isaiah 58:5-9 Oh God, our Lord, we thank You for the gift of life to celebrate another day during the Lenten Season. We beseech You to let our light break forth as in the morning and allow our health to spring forth speedily through Your grace. Let Thy righteousness go before us so that Your glory shall be our constant reward. When we call upon Your Holy Name, we want You to answer us as our Lord and Saviour. Let Your love fill us with contrite spirit so we can always seek Your face to obtain pardon for all our past misdeeds. Grant us Your grace, victory, healing and mercy, not just for this Lenten Season but throughout the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty Name.
