Checking into God's Presence... "Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble". Psalm 143:5-11. Jerusalem was under siege (Jeremiah 20-22), and the Chaldeans had surrounded the city whilst famine and pestilence also stalked the streets. Jeremiah was on the verge of losing all hope for survival. But in the darkness of his doubt amidst the reality of doom and gloom, God said to him, "Is there anything too hard for Me?" - Jeremiah 32:27 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness". Isaiah 59:1-3 So Children of God, while there is life, there is still hope, and although we may have souls already smothered with despair, fear and doubts, we must not despair and lose hope over them. But, instead, we must arise with prayers, belief, trust and the heart of true worship to awaken the arm of the Almighty God to act in our favour. And until we perceive that the gate of hell is wholly shut against all men, we must not cease to pray. Even if we see any hugging at the very doorposts of damnation, we must still go to the mercy seat of God and pray for the arm of grace to pluck us from this dangerous position. Therefore, I encourage you to submit yourselves to God, commit and surrender everything unto Him, for apart from Him: we are nothing, can do nothing, and have absolutely nothing! Whatever God asks to do, submit, yield and obey! "Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes."-Psalm 119:12. Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." Psalm 25:4-6 We thank You oh Lord, for every step we are likely to take. We beseech You to guide us in our decisions and every instruction we may want to follow. Please give us the spiritual strength upon every thought, and in every word, we speak and every action we are likely to take. We pray You will guide them by Your ordinances in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen Http://testimony-times.blogspot.co.uk Just Checking into His Presence...
