Checking into God's Presence... "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3 So that God can bless Abraham, He commanded: "Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee", and Abraham followed the instruction of God partially because when Abraham departed he "took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came." Although God did not complain, His original declaration to Abraham was, "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Did Abraham need to help God by taking Lot along and Sarah, his wife? We can argue that this singular act of partial obedience on the part of Abraham was responsible for Sarah's inability to conceive early. Know you, therefore, that for God to proclaim His blessings, we must give in return an act of obedience with no amendments, no ifs and no buts associated with the way we carry out the instructions. Father in heaven, You declare and set Your mercy anew every morning, and great is Your faithfulness. Remember this covenant through the Blood of the Lamb and proclaim Your mercy upon us. You rightly admonished that "it is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord:" While we wait patiently in the hope which guarantees our salvation; remove fear, doubts, illnesses, deaths, hatred, unemployment and lacks any nature. Instead, infuse in us breakthroughs, joy, peace, spiritual growth, knowledge and wisdom. In all, give us food worthy of our needs in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen Just Checking into His Presence...
