Checking into God’s Presence... “Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.” John 4:9-15 Jesus arrived silently into the life of the woman of Samaria to remove her fear and lifted her out of bondage just by giving her a Living Water. It was stated clearly in John 4:9 where “Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.” And that “whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” Jesus spoke the Word to the life of the Samaria Woman so she can be able to stand, walk and live in freedom in this world. Her encounter with Jesus Christ led her to release from worldly troubles. She offered unto her the Living Water, which represented the inherent peace the world could not give her. Therefore, today, I encourage you all to call on the name of God so that the Lord can embrace your pain, just like the Samaria Woman. “May the Lord hear us in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend us; Send us help from the sanctuary, and strengthen us out of Zion in Jesus name.” (Psalm 20:2) Amen Just Checking into His Presence...
