Checking into God’s Presence... “And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the Lord for the priest. And ye shall proclaim on the self-same day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.” Leviticus 23:20-24 It is the first day of the month, and we are privileged by Your grace, oh Lord, to enjoy Your Presence even in the seventh month. We realised that some did not make it this far. But quite briefly, the bible describes everyone as imperfect. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”-Romans 3:10 and “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”-Romans 3:23 Apostles Paul also admonished us on how to maintain Godly relationship in Roman 15:1-2: “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.” Unto Moses Thou declared: “I am the Lord your God. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation”. Help us, therefore, oh Lord, that when we reap the harvest of our land, we shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of our field when we reap. You are the Lord; teach us not to gather any gleaning from our harvest: but empower us to leave them purposely for the poor, the widows and the strangers according to Your commandments. We pray for peace in our households, workplaces and the Church of God. “May they prosper who loves us, may peace be within our walls and prosperity within our palaces for the sake of our brethren and companions: we will now say, “Peace be within us all.” Amen (Psalm 122:6-9) Just Checking into His Presence...
