Checking into Gods Presence...
The year is withering and so is everything on this planet. If indeed this happens to us, very sadly and without admitting, we die daily! 1 Corinthians 15:31 states “I face death every day yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
So, what are we doing with time? We must note in all of our whims, there is no easy access to the Throne of Grace without fighting against the temptations of the devil summed up within the distractions of this world.
Joseph did not have it easy to receive the fulfilment of his destiny. He had to pass through the pit, to prison and then to palace. During that period he walked righteously with God and the Lord showed him mercy causing his dreams to come to fulfilment.
Furthermore, there would have been no Israel if Jacob had been lenient with the Angel of the Lord in Genesis 32:22-32. And very clearly, Goliath would not have been defeated if David stood aloof and did nothing.
What would this life be if all you do is stare? The only constant thing is the Word of God which will last forever, so why not put your trust in Him? The evidences are He would not change/change position and that He fulfils what He had spoken.
Hebrews 6:17 (http://biblehub.com/hebrews/6-17.htm) states “because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath”.
So why do we need to put our trust in things of this world that would fly away? God is not a man that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil? (Numbers 23:19 (http://biblehub.com/numbers/23-19.htm))
May the Lord grant us the desire to seek and also embrace what is noble. This mid week will usher us in to the realm of His riches in Jesus Mighty name. Amen
