Checking into God's Presence...
The date has changed, and the time is also moving consistently; but have you woken up thinking the Lord is not on your side?
Then you must have compromised your faith and the level of righteousness to the extent of feeling so abandoned in the presence of God.
Have you stepped into the day feeling elated, fulfilled, and excited about what the Lord has done in your life? Or are you grateful, but without hope, even though you have made it to this day?
God's ageing processes indiscriminately upon everyone are grafted between all the circumstances despite these varying characteristics.
Irrespective, displaying good work comes with the acceptance of God's will, trust, and belief, and this should guide the norm of each day that we progress in life.
While claiming to be in Christ, the day will always rise and fall before our fading eyes. The only thing that can positively impact our life positions is accepting the circumstances we may find ourselves in daily.
And should form the basis of working and walking towards our usefulness in the presence of God. In retrospect, David became an adulterer after sleeping with Bathsheba: wife of Uriah-the Hittite (2 Samuel 11:26).
He also caused the death of Uriah to cover up his misdeeds, and the spirit of the Lord convicted him of the crime through Prophet Nathan.
However, and in the eyes of the law today, David would have been convicted of a murder charge capable of being reduced to manslaughter.
Today, we want to consider that David understood the position and confessed his sins in Psalm 51 to regain back his lost status before the Lord.
And so in Act 13:22, David's status was again reaffirmed and was directly linked to the period before he began his reign in 1 Samuel 13:14
Nevertheless, and for David's guilt to be erased, he moved away from his position of self-pity to regain once again the Lord's purpose in his life.
David disregarded the biased impression of all people to become linked with the usefulness and the pursuit of God upon His life.
Brethren in Christ, we can choose to do the same today by accepting the position we may likely find ourselves: irrespective of how painful the outcome has been.
Let us move away from inflicting the guilty verdicts upon ourselves, any tales of aspersions, suspicion, assumption, hatred, and loss of any kind.
And these include stories of any ill health, but rather, we should begin to seek the righteousness of God; by singing to acknowledge His presence in our lives.
Only then can we understand the purpose of God in our lives, and this will ultimately link us with our usefulness in this world. Remember, before we begin to serve and fulfil any of God's purpose in life, He had made preparations for us and, "this is what the Lord says:
“When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfil my good promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. You will find me," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,"
declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." Jeremiah 29:10-14
But somehow today, many are standing tall at the expense of these promises in Christ Jesus Name. And without any doubt, it pays to serve God, but that also depends on what our mood and mind construe.
Therefore, we must not operate under any other assumption except such that comes through the Name of God by which everyone shall be saved.
May God empower and make this day a day of mercy for us. With Your power, oh Lord, You will forgive and take us away from the position of self-pity. Link also us with the primary drive to always want to work and walk with Thee in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
