Checking into Gods Presence...
In my message today, I want to remind all Christians that while chasing desires to live happily and succeed, we must have the same willingness in determination to accept the faith in Jesus Christ as prescribed through the Bible.
John 3:18 says "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son".
There are inherent dangers and challenges if we fail to have faith in Him who has the power to make us walk into our promise. Surely, there is absolutely nothing too hard for Him to accomplish. "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?"-Jeremiah 32:27.
Please note, that your pride may lie in the gifts of your daily existence. Remember, we die daily, although we may not notice. (1 Corinthians 15:31) We may rely on the power of our beauty, position, family, influence, wealth and any gifts God may have given to us.
Just remember, we brought nothing into this world and nothing will be taken out (1 Timothy 6:7). As much as God can love, He can also disown if we choose to dismiss His Precepts.
Matthew 10:33 states "But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven". God disowned Saul in 1 Samuel 13 & 15 when his position became a negative symbiosis to that of Samuel.
In this Lenten Season and for this Sunday, in what ways have you disowned God and in what pattern have you polluted the words of truth?
And before you continue to chase life recklessly, stop and consider if you have the same amount of determination in running after the Words of Truth, albeit in the name of God.
On this Lord’s day oh Lord, make us holy by Your Truth; teach us Your Word, which is True. Amen (John 17:17)
