Checking into God’s Presence...
"And as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness, even so, must the Son of man be lifted: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:14-18
There are inherent challenges if anyone fails to acknowledge and also have faith in the Author and Finisher of life. Interestingly, the same God has the power to make anyone walk into their promise for there is absolutely nothing too hard for God to accomplish; according to Prophet Jeremiah who states:
“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?"-Jeremiah 32:27. The gifts of our daily existence may have recklessly emboldened the pride in us to constantly shun the things of God; irrespective of the sermons received through the teachings of Christ.
However, and despite God’s daily mercy to keep us alive, we must remember that: “And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” 1 Corinthians 15:30-31
In what ways have you disowned God and in what pattern have you polluted the words of truth? Before you continue to chase life recklessly, stop, and consider if you have the same amount of determination in running after the Words of Truth, albeit in the name of God.
God can choose to love, so too He can also disown those who flagrantly dismiss His Precepts. "Fear ye not, therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Whosoever, therefore, shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, he will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword". Matthew 10:31-34
It is not uncommon to rely on the power of beauty, position, family, influence, wealth, and any gifts God may have given to us. Remember “Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and we can certainly carry nothing out.” 1 Timothy 6:5-7. God disowned Saul in 1 Samuel 13 & 15 when his position became a negative symbiosis to that of Samuel.
Lord, make us holy by Your Truth and teach us Your Word which is Truth. Set by your standards our motives and grant us all we need to push forward in life oh Lord.
Also “sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17) Amen
