Checking into God's Presence... "They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place. All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers." Jeremiah 50:5-7 Are you within the crowd that celebrate yourself as a child of God? Do you know that the hatred men conceive towards the things of God today had been inherent from the beginning of creation? In Genesis 4: 1-16, Cain murdered his brother out of sheer jealousy. His jealousy made him murder his brother Abel treacherously; he was cursed and marked for life by God. Cain was a renowned farmer, and was punished as a "fugitive by God. He became a wanderer simply because the Lord accepted the offering of his brother in preference to his own. Apart from this sort of jealousy, money, power, beauty, fame and other uncharitable Christian virtues; can be a recurring theme in assessing what dominates the world that we live in today. In sharp contrast, it is the positive nature of a good character exhibited towards the things of God that most certainly will typify every sojourn in eternity. The same ethos came to bear in the prophecies of Prophet Jeremiah. And it states- "My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place. All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers." If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, and have received some comforts from His love. If there is any common sharing in the things of the Spirit, including any tenderness and or compassion: then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in Spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, rather in humility, value others above yourselves by not looking to your own interests alone but each of you to the interests of the others in your relationships with one another in a manner that has the same mindset as Christ Jesus:" May the Lord give us the mindset of Christ in all we do in Jesus Mighty Name.
