Just checking into His Presence...

Checking into God's Presence… It is another Good Friday, an unforgettable day for all Christians who have chosen the Day to commemorate Jesus Christ's crucifixion. The Day is usually observed during the Holy Week on a Friday proceeding the Easter Sunday. The Bible records it was during this occasion that the son of God was spat at, bruised through flogging and ordered to carry the cross on which he would eventually be crucified and then put to death. So why is it called Good Friday?  In Isaiah 53:1-12, Prophet Isaiah already forewarned about how the love for Christ will grow cold among those He came to deliver. Christ performed miracles among His brethren, disciples, the Pharisees, the Sadducees and the Children of God at the time before His crucifixion. Like healing the sick, feeding the hungry, turning water to wine and preaching and sustaining love in every circumstance. But on that faithful Friday, He was captured, mutilated, humiliated and crucified. The warning goes:" Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes, we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way, and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:1-5. Therefore, what's so good about Good Friday? Undeniably, it is possible to put forward some underlying lessons about the Day. Apart from the overwhelming theme of Love from Christ to the world, the study shows that: 1. Emotional suffering is part of life; 2. Suffering is not the result of sin. 3. Jesus is fully human; 4. Suffering is not the last word, and 5. Physical suffering is part of life. “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities." Isaiah 53:10-11. I pray for Good Friday's true purpose to come to manifestation upon our lives in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen Http://testimony-times.blogspot.co.uk Just Checking into His Presence...
