Checking into God’s Presence...  “It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord. And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?” 2 Chronicles 20: 2-6 You may not know, and you may also pretend not to know that in life we are always bound to face some challenges, and that is irrespective of who we are. Interestingly; no one is exempt from this assumption so far that all days are around the night and the day time marred with different seasons according to Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4. And it states-“To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Often, the definition of life for each individual depends mainly on the reaction that comes our way as we tread through the intricacies of life as described in the above passage. Some 2000 years ago, Jehoshaphat was faced with life challenging circumstance when the children of Ammon came against him to battle. Despite all the threat and anxieties, Jehoshaphat did not entertain any fear; instead, he set himself to seek the Lord. Not only that, but he also invited the generality of the people of Judah to join him whilst proclaiming a fast throughout the region. Indeed, God answered their prayers. Empower us oh Lord to be able to stand before You like Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah and pray to You O Lord God of our fathers and declare: “art not thou God in heaven? And rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? And in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none can withstand thee? Use Your that same power to deliver us now always in Jesus name. Amen  Http://testimony-times.blogspot.co.uk Just Checking into His Presence...
