Checking into God's Presence...  "And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.   Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway." Acts 16:25-33  Therefore, and in the run-up to the end of the year, I challenge you all to "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." James 4:8 And "humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." James 4:10 "Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge." James 4:11 “For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin". Oh Lord, we acknowledge that our fleshy nature may simply refuse to listen to Your voice. Often we are led by the spirit man to return to our old ways, speak unto them with Your Spirit and burst the bonds between our arc enemy Satan so we can enter into Your glory. Make us to know Your way and to fear You and the judgment of Thine Hand. Empower us to continue to witness the abundance of grace in Your Name as we approach the end of the year in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen Http://testimony-times.blogspot.co.uk Just Checking into His Presence...
