Checking into God's Presence... Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" Psalm 107:8-15 Men should always realise that life itself is in three phases represented by the past, the present and the future. Amid these phases, Christians will surely go through torrent of heightened emotions which can either affect their life, positively and or negatively. In all of these emotions, there is that notion which suggests life is under no obligation to give us what we want. And frequently, our aims, pursuits, needs and fulfillments do so contrary run. Hence, behind every smile, the people of God must also be prepared to endure some amount of pain, when and if the need arises. The Christian faith should not be overwhelmed at any point, with any lukewarm of acceptance. And, “Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." May God Almighty forgive our past, perfect our present and make our future led under the path of His righteousness. May we be successful while we pray and also look unto Him, as the Eternal Director of the affairs of men. For, God can allow our stewardship to be remarkable in His presence, as we journey through different facets of life. May He therefore, empower, and make us grateful to Him in times of ease, patient in times of hardship, and continue to hope in the power associated with His Name.
