Checking into God's Presence... Is it true that humanity depends on God's existence to live? Is it odd to assume the Spirit of God is the source of life and man would not have been able to come into existence without God's Spirit? Job 33:4. In this New Year, how dependent are you on the Spirit of God? Apart from the spirit of self-justification, does your understanding of God's theory emanate from the assessment of your achievements? What about beauty, riches, your "Calling", and or possibly the size of your congregation? If the answer to these is yes, have you assessed the declaration of Elihu in Job 32:7-9? These states, "Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understands judgment". Therefore, as we embark on another journey today in the presence of the Lord, what will be your inspiration? Is it going to be all about your age? What spirit will operate inside you, the Spirit of God or that of man? I encourage you, therefore, to hear my words those who proclaimed to have given their lives unto God because you now know Christ. You must understand that both ear and eye tests words as much as the tongue tastes food. Come, taste and know that the Lord is good. Behold, God is mighty in strength, understanding and does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous. Job 36:5-33 May God draw us away from the brink of distress to a spacious place without constraints, filling our festive table with bountiful food in Jesus Name.
